Shooting Andromeda with the Takahashi FSQ106mm!
#astrophotography #takahashi #astronomy
Ever since first starting astrophotography, I have seen some of the most impressive astrophotos captured with the Takahashi FSQ 106mm refractor. The images were crisp and had pinpoint stars across big camera sensors. In this video, I will cover a few tips for setting up the Takahashi FSQ 106mm on their EM-200 mount for astrophotography. I used my phone along with the wifi adapter to slew the mount with the SkySafari app.
The amazing thing about astrophotography is that you can still create beautiful photos from light polluted skies. I captured this data from only handful of miles outside Pittsburgh, PA. While the human eye might not be able to see many faint deep sky objects from the suburbs, remember that using a camera opens up a new world of possibilities.
