Separating Conjoined Twins Part 5: Finally Face-to-Face

After 10 long months, Liliya and Anatoliy are finally able to hold their twins separately. Born conjoined at the head, Abigail and Micaela were rare craniopagus twins. Now, after a successful separation surgery at UC Davis Children's Hospital, they're finally able to see each other face-to-face. Meanwhile, the doctors and nurses reflect on the success of the complicated surgery that took months to plan.

"Separating Conjoined Twins" is a six part Emmy winning video series that chronicles their journey from birth to separation surgery and beyond. Follow their story at https://health.ucdavis.edu/children/conjoined-twins/.
