DESCRIPTION:
Android smartwatches are designed to tether to smartphones by installing a special app on the phone and connecting the two together using Bluetooth. One of the most commonly used apps for this purpose is named WiiWatch 2. Now, at the beginning of 2019, this evolving app has been updated with two new features:

1. File transfers from your phone directly to your watch over Bluetooth
2. Remote text field entry from your phone without using the tiny keyboard on your watch

In this tutorial video, we cover these new features first for those familiar with the app and the tethering process. For those new to this, after the exciting new features have been demonstrated, we jump back to the beginning with guidance on connecting an Android smartwatch to an Android phone through the WiiWatch 2 app.

NOTE: It is assumed you know how to turn Bluetooth on for both your phone and your watch. Pretty much all the Android watches work the same way, so go to the listing of apps (commonly called the app drawer), scroll down and find one named Settings. Go into it and scroll to find Connect. When you go in there look for Bluetooth. It’s inside that Bluetooth setting that you can turn it on. An even easier way for many Android watches is to swipe down from your watch face (home) screen.You should see a bunch of icons. If hot, scroll left or right. You’re looking for the familiar funny looking “B” icon that means Bluetooth. Simply touch it to turn it on. Touching it again turns it off. Make sure Bluetooth is on for both your phone and watch before beginning this tutorial.
