Paddle Steamer Waverley sailing to Inverie 28/05/14

The Paddle Steamer Waverleys annual visit to the Western Isles of Scotland took place this year between 27th May & 3rd June. The following pictures were recorded on Wednesday 28th May 2014 begins at Mallaig showing the Waverley arriving from Oban (via Armadale). Picking up and setting down more passengers PS Waverley then set off for one of the most remote settlements on the UK mainland -- the village of Inverie, Here passengers were able to spend time ashore with many enjoying refreshment at The Old Forge. Several blasts on the ships whistle indicated Waverley was ready for departure to her next destination -- Armadale, on the Isle of Skye. From here the Waverley then steamed back to Mallaig. The final scene shows Waverley running astern out of Mallaig before heading north to her final call of the day - Kyle of Lochalsh.
