SECTION OF HEXAGONAL PYRAMID BY AN AUXILIARY INCLINED PLANE (AIP)
This Lecture describes the applications of Section of Solids in Engineering Drawing and illustrates the terminology used in drawing Section of Solids.

A right regular hexagonal pyramid of base side 25 mm, axis 50 mm long is resting with its base on HP and one an edge of the base is perpendicular to VP. It is cut by a section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined to HP at 30° and passing through a point 20 mm below the vertex. Draw the front view, sectional top view and the true shape of the section. Also draw the sectional side view of the solid.
