Families view remains of Utumishi Girls fire victims as post-mortems conclude

Families of the victims of the Utumishi Girls Academy fire were on Saturday confronted with the heartbreaking reality of their loss as they viewed the charred remains of their loved ones for the first time since the tragedy. Parents and relatives of the 16 students who perished in the devastating dormitory fire gathered at the Naivasha Referral Hospital mortuary to identify the bodies of their children. The atmosphere was heavy with anguish and sorrow as families came face to face with the scale of the tragedy.

The post-mortem examinations have been completed, with pathologists revealing that some of the bodies were completely charred.
