EU unlocks €90 billion loan for Ukraine | Ukraine Brief

The European Union has cleared the way for a long-delayed €90 billion loan to Ukraine after Hungary lifted its veto, following the restart of oil flows through the Druzhba pipeline, while also approving a 20th sanctions package against Russia over its invasion.

The EU-Business Summit in Brussels reinforces this support, with more than €1 billion in agreements expected to boost Ukraine’s infrastructure and energy sectors.

At the same time, Ukraine is signaling readiness for a high-level meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin to restart stalled peace talks. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Kyiv has asked Turkey and other partners to host the summit, while remaining open to any neutral venue outside Belarus and Russia.
