Why ESPN Is LYING To You In LAMELO BALL Documentary!

For years, I've been trying to tell you guys, that as the 2020 NBA draft approaches, the mainstream media outlets hop back on the Melo ball wave, and that's exactly what we're seeing right now. Expect them to milk Melo, recycle the same content and stories to drown out independent creators like myself. ESPN knew exactly what they were doing releasing that cover story the day before the draft lottery, and that is what I want to cover today. Because I feel like that short documentary piece validates what we've been saying all along, and that's that the Ball Family, Lavar agenda is real.
Now don't have me mistaken, the cover story was well put together, I thoroughly enjoyed watched it so I guess it served its purpose, Lamelo was trending, fans were hyped for the draft, and casuals are now caught up with the latest narratives. This cover story was also supposed to give you some insight on Lamelo's journey to the NBA, they talked about the untraditional path that saw him play in Lithuania and Australia, but what they missed out was what happened in between. They failed to even acknowledge Lavar's JBA league once, I'd argue that the most important basketball of Melo's career, came within the JBA League.
You see prior to the JBA, Lamelo's stock was at its lowest. His spell in Lithuania was a disappointing one, and his credibility took a major hit after he struggled against the LKL competition. After returning to the states, Lamelo signed with the LA Ballers, becoming the poster boy of LaVar's JBA league. Melo coasted through JBA regular season, averaging a 40 point triple, and the stacked LA ballers won the JBA championship.
More importantly, the JBA continued overseas, the league put together an all-star USA lineup that toured across Europe playing pro teams. Lamelo started the JBA USA tour as the same the cocky, immature kid he was in Lithuania, he left the tour as a legitimate lottery pick prospect. Though not in the eyes of the mainstream media, they didn't realize how good he was til this season in Australia. But those who followed the ball in the family or the JBA USA tour saw the turning point.
It started September 29th 2018, the ball bros were back in Lithuania for game 2 of the tour and suffered a 126-118 loss to Sintek-Jonava. And let's just say there was one player in particular, who Lavar held responsible for the loss.
Fast forward a few days later, game 3 of the tour still in Lithuania on October 1st, 2018. And LaMelo despite having been pulled aside and lectured for costing his team in the last game, got himself involved in this situation right here.
Remember I said the JBA got no coverage from mainstream media? I lied, cause every sports network was all over this story right here. The game had consequences for the JBA, teams they were scheduled to play withdrew wanting no involvement with the family. Social media was turning on them, and Lamelo being ejected from a pro game and fighting in a foreign country was a terrible look for the ball, and with LiAngelo's situation a year earlier in China, it made easy for the media to push the idea that the ball brothers had no respect for other cultures.
And you're right in guessing, Lavar had officially lost his patience with his youngest son, and instead of pulling him aside in private and talking to him in private, this time the big baller made sure to put them on blast in the locker room, singling him out in front of his teammates and camera crew.
See at the time of that loss the JBA USA were 1-2 on their European tour, and I think all of the backlash served as a wake call for LaMelo Ball, cause the very next game he went out and caught the first body of his career, he took a man's ankles the next and continued play as a man possessed, Lamelo averaged 29 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds for the tour, and in his last game had a 40 point triple-double against the British champions in London. Extending the JBA's win streak to 10 and finishing the tour with a 14-3 record, the only other loss coming in the one game they played following Melo's return to the states.
