Greetings from the NBL

Short video and a wave from one of my SCUBA dives in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory. This is where astronauts do a bulk of their training for conducting spacewalks on the International Space Station. The pool is 200 feet long, 100 feet wide, and 40 feet deep.

The audio is from underwater speakers. The Test Conductor (a spacewalk flight controller) is telling the astronaut in the spacesuit what to do. She can hear it in her headset but the audio is also provided to all the support divers through underwater speakers. That way everyone knows what's going on.
