South Africa Adventure Episode 5 Johannesburg City Tour + Delta One Business Class Flight Home

In the final episode of our South African adventure, we arrive in Johannesburg and check in to the elegant and secure Johannesburg Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch, located in one of the city’s most walkable and upscale neighborhoods.

With one full day to explore before heading home, we take a guided Johannesburg and Soweto city tour to learn more about the country’s history, culture, and resilience. From poignant memorials to vibrant neighborhoods, this tour offered deep insight into South Africa beyond the safari.

That evening, we begin our journey back to the U.S. on Delta Air Lines in Delta One business class. While the hard product (seat and suite) impresses once again, the soft product (service, catering, and lounge experience) leaves room for improvement—especially the disappointing SLOW Lounge at Johannesburg (JNB).
