14 Ways Tesla Model 3 TRANSFORMS Your Life!
The Tesla Model 3 is really quite remarkable in the way it really disrupts, not only the car industry, but also your whole set of expectations when you think about what a car is capable of.

In this video we look at the many day to day workflows that are totally transformed by the Tesla Model 3.
First up we look at the the way the car deals with letting you unlock and lock the car. Tesla really paved a path here with the way they use RFID and the Bluetooth phone key to create a really 'invisible' approach to unlocking and locking the car. Basically you can just walk up to the car and it will let you in.
Where this differs from normal keyless entry systems though is that you don't need to keep a constantly transmitting (and therefore vulnerable to relay attacks) key fob with you as your phone does all the work. You also don't need to touch anything when you leave the car like normal keyless entry systems.
Of course you still need a backup key but instead of making you carry a physical key Tesla just give you an RFID card. The nice thing about this is they are really cheap to replace if lost and can instantly be deactivated in the car if that ever happens.
As a fan of an having an optimised pocket carry system ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2V-wNKWyfQ ) I really appreciate not having to carry a slippery car key in my pockets!
Next we look at how the inherent benefit of no fumes when idling means features like remote defrost are not only possible but really well executed with the Tesla Model 3. On an icy morning we no longer need to go out in the cold and scrape/spray the ice off.
The Tesla Model 3 has a really thoughtful wireless charging solution for you phone. The way all this works means I actually don't find myself missing CarPlay in the Tesla Model 3 as much as I thought I would.
We also look at how much of an amazing thing it is to not have to visit petrol stations. I think this is something people overlook due to an unneeded comparison with the time it takes to charge vs. the time it takes to fill up the car with petrol.
Another of these EV specific benefits is that because there is no natural waste heat the Tesla has a proper cabin heater. This means in winter you get instant heating.
The fact that each driver uses their own phone to access the car means that the car knows who is getting in to drive. Tesla has taken this to its full potential by attaching seat, steering wheel and side mirror positions to these driver profiles.
An interesting and positive side effect of the EV experience can also be found when it comes to cleaning the car. Because you almost never need to use the brakes in an EV, you get to enjoy not having to deal with baked on brake dust on your wheels!
A really fun advantage of having an all electric AWD car is that there is no transmission tunnel taking up space in the rear footwell.
Tesla offer an amazing API to third party software developers that means you can get apps for the Apple Watch to let you do all kinds of things to the car remotely.
One of the most surprisingly useful things I discovered about the Tesla Model 3 is just how good the frunk is for storing wellies after a muddy walk.
Another benefit of the phone key system is how well it works when it comes to closing the boot after unloading shopping etc.
Arguably the most disruptive element of the Tesla is that it doesn't require an expensive service commitment.
There are some great features in the Tesla that aren't even in any other EVs that make the car really useful as a mobile office - including providing entertainment for the kids while you work.
We also look at just how good the Tesla is as a car for short journeys in lockdowns. The EV is just as happy on a short journey as a long one so is a perfect pandemic car!
