10 ANIMALS WITH THE STRONGEST BITE
FORCE
After watching this video, you might realize that you are grateful that the most painful bite you've ever
gotten is a bug or something like that.
Some animals have the terrifying gift of inflicting an exceptional amount of pain and in this video, we are
going to take a look at these ten animals that have the strongest bite force in the world.
This is 100M and you better stick around to find out the animal in number 1 that is so terrifying that no
brave researchers would dare venture close to for an accurate measurement of its bite force.

#10 TIGER

Siberian tigers typically weigh as much as 933 pounds and very rarely, even more. Tigers are the largest
of all cats in the entire world, out-ranking lions, jaguars, and everything else in between.
You can imagine that this massive size comes with a bite force to match. The average bite force of an
adult tiger stands at a staggering 1050 pounds per square inch (psi) which is almost twice as strong as
the bite force of a lion.
Unlike lions, tigers are not the kind to huddle up in groups and live together or hunt together. They are
solitary animals who like many other big cats enjoy sulking alone in the comfort of their own private
space. Males and females typically live separately and isolated except when it is time to mate.
Tigers are actually stronger and faster than lions and the remarkable agility and bite force that they
wield makes them capable of taking down any large prey all by themselves.
Unlike Lions whose natural enemies are hyenas, tigers do not have any natural enemies. Perhaps that's
what Lions get for being king of the jungle heavy is the head that wears the crown, am I right?

#9 Spotted Hyenas

Spotted hyenas are one of the most common and popularly known scavengers that reside on the plain
of Africa. You may think oh well, since they are scavengers, they basically live off leftovers that remain
from another animal's kill.
Although that is true, the last thing you want to do is underestimate a hyena because the truth is that
most of the time, they find their own food by themselves. You must know that they are excellent
hunters.
They would not make as excellent hunters as they are without remarkable bite force. These laughing
scavengers have exceptionally powerful jaws with a bite force that measures up to 1100 pounds per
square inch (psi).
This makes them technically more powerful than lions and tigers when it comes to the bite force
department. I guess you can sort of see now why lions are terrified of these creatures. They are simply
scary.
The spotted hyenas are social animals that love to live in large groups. A group of hyenas is called a clan.
When in large groups spotted hyenas love to go for large tree-like buffaloes, wildebeest, and even
rhinos. Their bite force is so strong that they can effortlessly crush the bones of their largest prey.

Spotted hyenas also could eat their prey as a whole even without leaving its bones behind.
I can't believe that "Lion King" literally turned them into side kicks. These animals are wicked.

#8 Grizzly Bears

If it's brown, lay down. If it's black, fight back. If it's white, goodnight.
This rhyme for bear encounters might sound particularly familiar and well I haven't gotten the chance to
put it to test yet, I would pretty much just resign to not encountering any of them.
Grizzly Bears are a subspecies of brown bears that inhabit North America. This large species of bear can
grow to be as tall as 7 feet while standing and they can weigh up to 800 pounds.
Not only do they have their tremendous weight and height on their side, but they also have an
exceptional sense of smell, vicious claws, and insanely powerful Jaws.

With a terrifying bite force of 1200 pounds per square inch (psi), grizzly bears could easily bite through
thick trees, any bones, and a cast iron skillet.
There is no thinking about it twice; grizzlies are a symbol of immense strength. Thankfully, they do not
often attack humans but they can be very aggressive.
They like their personal space so you need to be extremely cautious if you venture into their territory. If
they feel threatened, grizzlies will attack and there is no doubt that it could be fatal.
"If it's brown, lay down" technically means that you should play dead during a grizzly bear attack but I
wouldn't take any chances so just stay away.

#7 Gorillas

Coming in at number 7 is the largest primate on the entire planet. Rolling in at a staggering height of
almost 6 feet and a massive weight of 352 pounds. Despite how huge and absolutely terrifying they look,
gorillas are actually really timid and gentle.
