First Viewer Mail on LNwDL, February 11, 1982

This is the first time Viewer Mail was presented on Late Night, here preceded by Paul introducing the band for the first time as well. Dave identified the group as "Paul Shaffer and the World's Most Dangerous Band," the second time he had used that title.

During the first week, Dave referred to ""Paul Shaffer and our Orchestra" (Feb. 3) and "Paul Shaffer and the Gentlemen in the Orchestra" (Feb. 4).

Into the second week, Dave credited "Paul Shaffer and the Boys" (Feb. 8), "Paul Shaffer and the Orchestra" and, for the first time, "Paul Shaffer and the World's Most Dangerous Band" (both on Feb. 9). On the 10th, it was "Paul Shaffer and his Soul Revue" and "Paul Shaffer and the Band." And, on this date, the 11th, Dave returned to the title that would stick with the band for the next 11 years.

Viewer Mail's debut on this show included all snappy answers with no skits.
