It is now greatly part of Ramayana Pilgrim tourism and Trekking to Sigiriya Lion rock and the nearby Pidurangala Rock is one among the top things to do in srilanka.Sigiriya Lion rock attracts all tourists, travelers, backpackers, historians and pilgrims and surely it will be there in all itineraries of two days, three days, four days or five days trips to srilanka.
Sigiriya Lion Rock is considered as holy or sacred by both hindhus and buddhists and this place is now an unavoidable part in Ramayana pilgrimage.
King kashyapa is believed to be associated with Lion rock according to Buddhist tradition.Since Srilanka is a buddhist nation, this particular belief has gained more popularity.
But on the other hand, Hot and loud debates are going on regarding King Ravana's connection with Lion rock and this association is greatly believed by Hindhus across the world.As a result,thousands of explorers are visiting Sigiriya Lion Rock daily.
