Johnson needed reminding to involve cabinet in Covid decisions, says civil service ex-chief

The former prime minister Boris Johnson had to be reminded to include his cabinet in the government's decisions, said the former cabinet secretary Mark Sedwill.

Giving testimony to the Covid inquiry, Lord Sedwill said: 'I did need to remind him of the importance of involving cabinet colleagues not just in the formal decision but formulation of that decision'.
