FREE Camping in Black Hills SD | Boondocking Secret Location [Full Time RV Living]

We discovered an epic boondocking (free camping in the Black Hills SD Forest) of South Dakota and share it's location.  Beautiful views for miles, wildlife, green grass, breezes and pine trees - no one around!  Boondocking is one of our favorite ways to camp in our RV.  Through a bit of research with the Black Hills Forest Ranger office, we found hundreds of miles of FREE dispersed camping available for the taking.  Who knew such beautiful boondocking (free camping) was available so close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, breweries & wineries, ATV trails, caves & Deadwood & Sturgis, Keystone and Hill City and so much more!  This location was almost too good to be true.  We were able to get our 35' motorhome parked and set up on this beautiful hill overlooking valleys, hills and pines in the Black Hills National Forest.  We saw deer in the early mornings and heard coyotes in the early evenings.  What surprised us most was that very few people were taking advantage of this free, dispersed (boondocking) camping that's available to all.  Our goal was peace and quiet with a beautiful view and we found all of that and more - trails for hiking, roads for exploring, whispering pines and beautiful wildflowers and grasses.   We hope you enjoy this boondocking site (free camping) as much as we did.  There are no hookups or facilities but a pit toilet, water and dumpsters can be found at nearby Comanche Campground.  Please pack out what you pack in and leave this epic boondocking (free campsite) beautiful for the next person.  We'd love to hear from you if you've camped  (boondocked) here and what you thought of it!  We also share some tips on locating other boondocking (free campsites) in the Black Hills Forest.
