Honda Accord 2003-2007 Airbag Indicator Light On Simple Fix!

If your Honda Accord has never being wrecked/airbag never deployed, and suddenly your airbag light comes on and stays on even after you start the engine, this is the fix I did to solve it. Your seatbelt buckle assembly simply needs to be changed.

There is a sensor in the seatbelt buckle assembly that's prone to failure after a few years of normal driving, and when it fails, it triggers the airbag light to come on indicating a malfunction in the system (Airbag won't deploy if seat belt buckle is not inserted property or if the Airbag light is on)

Replacing the buckle assembly is fairly easy:

1. Remove driver side seat bolts so you can tilt the seat forward (watch youtube video on how to remove the seat on Accord)

2. Remove old seat belt buckle assembly (One bolt and a few lock-on clips that may require pliers to take out) **Do remember where the clips are and how the wiring goes so when you install new one you can follow the same pattern.**

3. Install new seat belt buckle assembly and follow the same cable routing pattern as the old one you've removed

4. Reinstall the seat

5. Turn on engine and observe the airbag light go off!

I would suggest purchasing brand new assembly instead of used since the sensor is prone to failure.
