PDFs are huge in business and while theoretically, a PDF is a locked document; there are many completely legitimate reasons why you might need to make a change to a PDF whether you lost the original, made a spelling error, need to swap out a graphic, redact something, sign a document, merge two PDF’s into a single document, merge PARTS of different documents together, update a link inside the document that doesn’t work anymore, or you’re a teacher looking for a better way to give feedback to your students on their homework. These are just a few examples of the kinds of changes and alterations you can make to a PDF using PDF Expert for Mac.

PDF's have a few advantages over traditional documents; they are totally self-containing so graphics, photos, fonts, and anything else is all contained within the document. PDF's can be easily compressed without losing much quality (great feature for students who e-mail large media-rich documents).
