5 Ways Coronavirus Will Impact Vegas for Years!

In today's video we are talking about 5 ways the Coronavirus will impact Las Vegas for years to come. 2020 has been a crazy year to say the least because of the virus. The fact that it is also an election year has implications for the future of the state of Nevada as well. There have been thousands of jobs lost from Jackpot to Reno to Laughlin to Mesquite and everywhere in between. The most jobs have been lost in the area of Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas. The crippled job market has seriously hurt our state economy for employees, business owners and investors.

The casinos have been hurt as well, but large corporations have a lot more resources, financial and otherwise at their disposal that small mom and pop business owners do not. Nevada has had to overcome a $1.2 billion dollar budget deficit over the special session called this summer by Governor Sisolak in Carson City. The issues for people collecting unemployment have been very frustrating for many Nevadans.

Lastly, with state, county and city elections taking place this year, the impact that the virus will have on the elections could seriously affect Nevada's future. The big issue this year has been over mail in voting for ballots in the general election. Governor Sisolak signed a bill allowing Nevadans to vote by mail, but rejected Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske's request for additional scrutiny over the ballots. Only time will tell what the future of Nevada holds.
