The ASPECTSS™ of Architecture for Autism | Magda Mostafa | TEDxCairo

Dr. Magda Mostafa, born and raised in Canada, is currently an Associate Professor of Design at the American University in Cairo and Design Associate at Progressive Architects. Her research interests include design pedagogy and special needsdesign- particularly autism (http://www.autism.archi). She is the author of the Autism ASPECTSS™ Design Index, which was awarded the UIA's 2014 Architecture for All.

Her ASPECTSS™ Design Index is the first evidence-based set of autism design guidelines worldwide. It has been widely published and recognized for its ground-breaking principles and ArchDaily has called her “one of the world's pre-eminent researchers in autism design”. She has been invited to present her work worldwide at the United Nations, the WHO and at the world’s first design for autism conference hosted by the UK National Autistic Society.
