Our Luxury Maldives Water Villa | 4K Travel Vlog | Baros Maldives

After 17 hours of travelling, we arrived in the Maldives. A speedboat took us from Malé (the capital of the Maldives) to our luxurious Maldives resort - Baros resort. Baros was the 3rd resort to be built in the Maldives and it has been running for over 45 years.

I had booked to stay in Baros as it is one of the few independent resorts in the Maldives and is owned by a Maldivian family. The resort has eco-friendly ethics and is not overly-developed. They also steer clever from single-use plastics as much as possible and all food waste is composted. These are all qualities which I look for when choosing hotels to stay at - that and the glowing customer reviews online.

Final Cut (my editing software) threw pure shade at me when it suggested tags for my video including ‘excessive shake’. I have no idea how I keep doing this but, despite having one of the best action cams on the market (DJI Osmo) with fantastic stabilisation, I ALWAYS (without fail) manage to accidentally turn off stabilisation and end up with practically unusable footage. I am so peeved at this! Maybe on my next trip I will keep it turned on and get some of that rocksteady footage 🙄
