Pre-PA | Myths About Getting Into PA School

Hello everyone! It’s @whitecoatchasing here. I know there is a lot of extremely helpful information for all us pre-PA students out there but there are also some myths that can be really discouraging when it comes to your pre-PA journey. I decided to create this video to help dispel some of the common myths that I hear and hopefully instill a little bit of confidence in yourself and your future CASPA application! I'd also love to thank that obnoxious bug bite on my arm for starring in this video :-)

Myth 1 - You need to be a science major to get into PA school: 0:54
Myth 2 - You need close to a 4.0 to get in: 2:09
Myth 3 - You need +4,000 PCE hours: 3:24
Myth 4 - PA school is easier/harder to get into than med school: 4:44 (wow, look at that! lol)
Myth 5 - All of your PCE needs to be paid: 6:00
Myth 6 - Looking at other people’s stats will let you know if you’ll get in: 7:20
Myth 7 - You have to do a post-bac program if you have a low GPA: 9:12
Myth 8 - You should only apply to “continuing” status schools: 11:03
