COUNTING MY TIPS FROM WAITRESSING

I’ve worked at the same restaurant for 10 years (on and off again). This time; I went back temporarily and decided to keep the tips stored away until I stopped working again. I definitely did NOT expect to have $3,000 in that stack. When you’re working 2 days out of the week I guess it doesn’t feel like that much money. I’m grateful to have had that money (through COVID) in case I needed it. I did spend about $120 but everything else was counted in the video.

I truly recommend waitressing/bar tending to everyone. It’s really a great job. Although sometimes the shifts suck, it teaches you so much from money management, customer service skills, patience, math (percentages), and overall communication skills. Working at restaurants/fast food you learn to treat people differently and to appreciate other jobs.
