Bruce Springsteen wrote "Fire" specifically for Elvis Presley, but the King never got to hear it. 😭👇

As the video shows, after Springsteen penned the track in 1977, he sent a demo tape straight to Elvis. Tragically, Elvis passed away in August 1977 before ever receiving or hearing the song.

Producer Richard Perry brought the track to The Pointer Sisters for their 1978 album "Energy," and Anita Pointer delivered that iconic, sultry lead vocal. The track completely re-ignited their career, selling over ONE MILLION copies!
