Peruvian Amazon Fer De Lance Encounter

While traveling in the Amazon upper basin of the Tahuayo river in Loretto Peru, Maria and I came across the deadliest snake in South America, "The Fer De Lance". To happen upon this snake, at any size, is an extremely rare occurrence and this one was over 6 feet long. Our guide, Edgar Mohena of A&E tours, who has lived here all his life had never seen this species at this size... truly a once in a lifetime experience!
