The Radial Arm Saw was a staple tool for professional woodworkers for generations. It was the main tool used to make cross cuts and dados. This video is about how to turn your sliding compound miter saw into a radial arm saw. I use a sacrificial back fence on my Makita 10 inch sliding compound mitre saw. That fence helps with normal cross cuts, but if you want to use your miter saw as a radial arm saw for dado cuts, you will need to add one simple jig.
