“How Millions of Crocodile Eggs Are Collected Every Year”

China is home to one of the largest crocodile farming industries in the world. On these farms, raising crocodiles begins with collecting eggs, which is a risky and delicate task. Female crocodiles are kept on farms because a single female can lay around 10 to 60 eggs in a year.
Once the eggs are laid, workers carefully collect them using long sticks or tools. This process is extremely dangerous because mother crocodiles become highly aggressive when someone approaches their nest. They instinctively protect their eggs and may attack anything they see as a threat.
Every year, millions of crocodile eggs are collected across China. These eggs are then placed in controlled incubators where the temperature and humidity are carefully managed to help them hatch safely. After the baby crocodiles hatch, they are sold to different farms where they are raised further.
This large-scale system has made China one of the biggest centers for crocodile farming in the world. 🐊
