Why Were D-Day Leg Bags Lost?

During the invasion of Normandy on D-Day June 6, 1944 allied paratroopers from Britain and the United States would jump from the sky into France. All of these men had heavy equipment, but some carried this equipement in a specific way. The British made Leg Bag was old news for the British paratroopers but new for their US counterparts. Many US troops would lose their leg bag on the jump. But why? In today's video we look at why D-Day Leg Bags were lost.
