The most bizarre shield in history?

What do you get when Renaissance inventors look at a shield with built-in lantern and decide that it's not multi-functional enough? This thing!

Shield, gauntlet, serrated blades, spike, retractable blade, lantern, all in one. Looks like this is the historical version of a "tacticool" gadget.

Try including that thing in your everyday carry... Well, if someone does try to mug you and you whip this out (from wherever you managed to mysteriously conceal it) as a self-defense weapon, I'm sure they would take a quick trip to Nopeville. :)
