SKILLED OCCUPATION LISTS FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA:
https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/skilled-migrants/lists-of-state-nominated-occupations

High Performing Graduate definition: To qualify as a high performing graduate, you will need to continue to reside in South Australia post-graduation and have completed one of the following qualifications at a South Australian public university (in the last two years) with the required Grade Point Average (GPA) listed below:
• PhD or Masters by Research.
• GPA of 6.0 or above in a Masters by Coursework degree (following completion of a Bachelor degree* in South Australia).
• First Class Honours in a dedicated Honours year (following completion of a Bachelor's degree* in South Australia).
• GPA of 6.0 or above in a Bachelor's degree*.
You can apply for state nomination for either a 491 or 190 visa (note: some occupations are restricted to a 491 only, see the occupation lists).
An alternative 491 provisional visa only pathway is available to graduates achieving 5.2 to 5.99 GPA in their South Australian bachelor’s degree or a GPA in this same range in a masters by coursework degree in South Australia following completion of a prior bachelor’s degree in South Australia.
Your GPA is listed on your academic transcript. The three South Australian public universities are: Flinders University, University of Adelaide and University of South Australia.
Your South Australian qualification must be in the same field as your nominated occupation.
*Your Bachelor's degree in South Australia must be CRICOS registered for a minimum of 92 weeks.
• High performing graduates from private universities or higher education providers in South Australia will be considered on a case by case basis (as not all private higher education providers use the same grading system). To enquire whether you are eligible to apply, please email your academic transcript to gsm.sa@sa.gov.au.
• Quotas apply to the high performing graduate category. Once this quota is reached, applications under this category may be closed or certain occupations may be unavailable for nomination.
Chain Migration option: Chain migration is a state nomination pathway providing access to a broader list of occupations. This pathway is for skilled workers who meet all skilled nomination requirements and have an immediate family member permanently residing in South Australia.
• Chain migration allows you to apply for occupations listed as ‘Special conditions apply’ on the State Occupation List or occupations listed on the Supplementary Skilled List.
• You are only eligible to apply for state nomination for a 491 provisional visa under this category.
• You must have 75 points (including state nomination points) on the Department of Home Affairs' points test. If your occupation requires offshore applicants to have 85 points (including state nomination points), you will need to meet the 85 points requirements - see the occupation lists
• Your immediate family member in South Australia must meet all requirements listed below:
• Your family member residing in South Australia must be your grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, brother or sister. You can still apply if it’s your step or adoptive parent/sibling.
• Your family member must be over 18 years of age.
• Your family member in South Australia must be either an Australian Permanent Resident, an Australian Citizen or a South Australian state nominated provisional visa holder (489 or 491).
• Your family member must be currently residing in South Australia and have resided in South Australia as a Permanent Resident or South Australian State nominated provisional visa holder for the last 24 months.
• Your family member in South Australia is required to complete a statutory declaration to confirm that they meet the all chain migration requirements
• If you are residing interstate you are not eligible for South Australian State nomination.
• Quotas apply to nominations under the chain migration category. Once this quota is reached, occupations under this category may be closed or further requirements may apply. Please check your occupation to see if it is eligible under Chain Migration Category.
