All in the cream of their prime here, Renée Fleming, Barbara Bonney and Susan Graham, perhaps the preeminent exponents of the last quarter century of their respective roles, are united in a superbly beautiful rendition of the closing trio and duet of Der Rosenkavalier. The three later reunited on disc with Christoph Eschenbach and the Vienna Philharmonic for a still more ravishing studio recording (on the CD entitled "Strauss Heroines"), but when it comes to live performances, this quite simply, is as good as it gets.
