Engineering Mechanics Dynamics Rectilinear Motion Example

In this video, we solve a rectilinear motion problem step by step and explain the core concepts used in engineering dynamics. You will learn how to analyze motion along a straight line using velocity, acceleration, displacement, and kinematic relationships.

Engineering Mechanics-Dynamics-J.L. Meriam & L.G. Kraige:
The velocity of a particle is given by v = 20t2 - 100t + 50, where v is in meters per second and t is in seconds. Plot the velocity u and acceleration a versus time for the first 6 seconds of motion and evaluate the velocity when a is zero.
