SIR-RFS Webinar 5/12/20: End Stage Renal Disease and Endovascular AVF
SIR-RFS Webinar: End Stage Renal Disease and Endovascular AVF
Presented by Dr. Allison Tan, MD
Assistant Professor, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals
Original Presentation Date: 5/12/20
This webinar will serve to provide valuable insight into the evaluation and management of the dialysis patient population we see everyday as Interventional Radiologists. Specifically, we will cover new advances in endovascular AVF clinical guidelines. We hope to provide the foundations for treating this specific patient population by addressing the following:
1) epidemiology of ESRD
2) renal replacement therapies (PD/HD(AVF/AVgrafts)/ endoAVF)/ transplant
3) evaluation of these patients (vein mapping/physical exam)
4) determination of surgical vs endoAVF candidacy
5) procedural component
6) Secondary interventions and follow up algorithms
