Making A Disc Bound Journal Using Happy Planner Discs | DIY Easy Art Journal

In this video, I show how I made a disc bound journal using the happy planner disc system step by step. I wanted to make an art journal that could be fully customized by who I was giving it to and would serve her well as an art or junk journal.

I recently made an art journal to go into a friend mail. I wanted to make her something that she could completely customize and use just about any kind of paint, ink, or just whatever on the pages. I had run across a while back a video on youtube where the person was doing an art journal page in a journal bound with a disc system. I realized I had a ton of the happy planner discs from planners I had used before and that I'd gotten on sales over time...so boom! Journal present idea was born! I really like the way that it works, because you can remove the pages and do more messy art and then insert them back in. I love the way this turned out and will probably be making me one very very soon too. :)

I work in a very conservative and rule driven environment. So, these little art projects of mine have become my form of therapy.

There's little better to me than sitting down and ripping up a bunch of magazine pages, getting covered in glue, and splattering some paint and seeing where it takes me. There's no worrying about rules, terms, judgments, or anything like that. I just go with it and have a good time.
