Congressman Veasey Commemorates Black History Month

During February we commemorate Black History month. It’s a time to reconnect with our history and be proud of our roots. During this month, Americans from all backgrounds have an opportunity to discover and learn about our community, the struggles and sacrifices of the past, the contributions of the present, and the opportunities for the future.

I encourage all constituents of Texas Congressional District 33 to learn more about the contributions African-Americans have made in this country. Let’s honor our past, commit to improving our present, and keep hope in the future.
