Eurostars at Speed: Medway Viaduct

A brief trip to the must-visit Medway Viaduct: where the classic Eurostar broke the UK speed record in 2003. Located on sec 1 of HS1, the 1.3km railway viaduct is one of the fastest sections on the route with a line speed of 186mph/300kph for Eurostars & 140mph/225kph for Southeastern High Speed Javelins. Speeds obviously vary due to service pattern & the gradient on both ends of the viaduct. Great view over River Medway+fast trains=paradise for trainspotters.
Wish I could've stayed longer for more e300 shots :P

Lineside observations:
Javelins pass here at approx. 140mph. Eurostar services generally reach 170-180mph or above.
