“Nice” Abusers: My Real Life Experience and Learning
#clusterb #narcissist #histrionic #borderline #antisocial #appeasinghistrionic #disorderedteacher #schooltrauma #covertabuse #truestory
Hi. This video is completely unpolished — no script, no prep — just me sharing a major lightbulb moment that landed while I was working on my sixth-grade trauma.
After creating a previous video on comorbid histrionics, something clicked. I suddenly saw an old school experience through a new lens, and it brought a level of clarity and relief I hadn’t expected.
In this video, I cover:
• Why “nice” abusers can cause deeper, longer-lasting harm than overtly cruel ones
• How niceness is often mistaken for goodness — and why that matters
• Six red flags I’ve identified in “nice” abusers, based on lived experience
• Why trauma involving “nice” authority figures is so difficult to heal from
• How learning about personality patterns and comorbidities can unlock validation and self-compassion
I also mention that I was in the middle of writing my memoir at the time of this realization. You’ll see me thinking out loud, connecting dots in real time, and honestly enjoying the moment when things finally made sense.
If this resonates, take what’s useful and leave the rest. My hope is that it helps someone else find clarity sooner than I did.
