Night in the Woods - The Courage to Care

I’ve been saving this analysis for the release of the Weird Autumn expansion. If you’re into cringe humor, and those late night conversations you have with a good friend parked in their driveway, this is for you. If you’ve made the grave mistake of allowing me to spoil the whole thing, know that it was Errant Signal’s spoilerif filled video that got me to play the game in the first place.

When I started making content for this channel, I had made a few “pilot” videos that I threw away because I wasn’t happy with them. I didn’t know if I wanted the format to be long form, or short. Professional, or passionate. Argumentative, or agreeable. Analytical, or emotional. Night in the Woods defined all of those things to me. I went back to redo the narration, of course, but by all other accounts this was the first video I had finished for this channel way back before I published anything. This was the first video I made that I was truly proud of. I love this game. I love all the subjects I’ve covered on this channel, and I want you to love them to.

Notes from July 2018 - This has become my most well received video and... well I'm just so happy it's this one. Not everyone gets to be associated with the content they are most proud of. This is representative of what I do here, and though I've improved as a creator since, I still reflect on this particular message, from this particular game. I look forward to making more videos that dig into these kinds of themes, and I hope I can make them resonate with you as deeply as they have resonated with me. Thank-you for all of your support.
