Maryam Hashmi is the sole provider for her children after her husband abandoned them. Despite the hardships, she continues to cook meals and sew clothes to afford her children’s tuition and school fees. Her son suffers from a severe nasal condition requiring surgery, which has been delayed due to financial constraints. With inflation making even basic necessities a challenge, Maryam worries about her children’s future after her time.

مریم ہاشمی اپنے بچوں کی واحد کفیل ہیں، کیونکہ ان کے شوہر انہیں چھوڑ کر جا چکے ہیں۔ تمام مشکلات کے باوجود وہ اپنے بچوں کی ٹیوشن اور اسکول فیس پوری کرنے کے لیے کھانے پکاتی ہیں اور کپڑے سی کر کچھ پیسے کماتی ہیں۔ ان کا بیٹا ناک کے شدید مسئلے سے دوچار ہے، جس کے آپریشن کی مالی دشواریوں کے باعث اب تک نوبت نہیں آ سکی۔ مہنگائی نے حالات مزید سخت کر دیے ہیں، جس کے سبب مریم کے لیے بنیادی ضروریات بھی پوری کرنا مشکل ہو گیا ہے۔
