👀 Visual drills are just ONE method of activating the Cerebellum (CB). It can also be done through movement (mobility) and vestibular exercises.
💡 I brought my visual tool in closer to my face to increase the load.
⏱️Because of time, I cut the reassessment short. But I honestly feel I could have held it for 30 seconds (minimum) or longer.
😵💫The first time I did it I fell over because I started to get that sensation you get after you’ve been spinning around. That didn’t happen during the reassessment.
❗️70-90% of All Sensory Input is Visual! 👀
❗️This is why utilizing the visual system is so powerful for performance and pain mitigation.
❗️There are more ways to include the load on an EXERCISE as simple as gaze stabilization, but I kept it simple. M.E.D. = Minimal Effective Dose 😉
If this wouldn’t have worked I probably would have stacked a number of Neuro drills with more midline activation.
Everybody’s brain is different, so this MAY or MAY NOT help you with your balance. It’s worth a shot though!
