This is my writer's dilemma
And it's causing me pain
Happiness is the goal
But dollar signs are the game
I guess I'll do my best
Til I write something else
Or more likely give up
And stick this one on the shelf
Because I'm tired of rejection
No more compromise
This part has too many words
So it's perfect in my eyes
And the ears of the people that get what I say
But if it's only one person It'll be okay

I want to write about everything
But nothing comes to mind
Cause I'm too afraid it'll crash and burn
So it stays stuck inside

This isn't catchy enough
This part is way too long
I'll never make it work
With this stupid song
I have to get your attention
By the very first line
So are you still with me
Or am I wasting your time
But wait there's more to the story
So if you'll lend your ears
I'll do my best to make this short
& perfectly clear
That I'm sick of the rules so I'll bend them til they break
So here comes the chorus or better yet a mistake

So I guess that it's time
To add a bridge to this tune
To sum up the story
And to let this conclude
Maybe this will inspire you
To get unstuck
To take more of a risk
And give less of a fuck

When you wanna go and do anything
I hope this comes to mind
Cause we shouldn't care if we crash and burn
Just don't stay stuck inside
