Landowner transforms hay field into wetland
USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) works with private landowners to create and nurture wetlands through its Wetlands Reserve Program. Between 1992 and 2012, more than 2.6 million acres were enrolled in the program. Landowners, like Eric Dibble in Oktibbeha County, Miss., are helping improve water quality and create habitat through their restoration efforts. Watch this video to see how this backyard wetland has given Dibble, an ecology professor, a glimpse into nature's ways.
