IAI Kfir fighter Jet of Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF)

With the sound of General Electric J 79-J1E the sole airworthy IAI kfir C. 2 of SLAF No.10 squadron.
First acquired in 1996 the kfir element of Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) provided the role of a dedicated ground and naval attack platform armed with
2× Rafael-built 30 mm (1.18 in) DEFA 553 cannon with 140 rpg and carry upto 5,775 kg of variety of ordnance in 9 hardpoints.
These beastly deltas along with Mig 27s flew numbers of combat sorties and delivered tons of payload that helped to crippled the terrorist infrastructure and inevitably bringing the end for 30 years of Sri Lankan civil war.
