red-china has once again increased coal use, with official figures showing coal burning rose 3.1% in April 2026 compared with a year earlier. That makes four straight months of increases.

This tells the world something important.

When energy becomes scarce, nations do not gamble their factories, hospitals, transport systems, and food supply on good weather. They choose what works.

For all the speeches about “transition,” red-china still understands a simple truth. A modern society without reliable energy becomes a poor society very quickly.

Renewables can help when conditions are favourable. But when demand rises and supply tightens, coal remains the dependable foundation underneath the system.

That is why clean energy output is now lagging while coal use climbs.

Energy security comes first.

Every developing nation should pay attention. Prosperity requires abundant, reliable, affordable power. Without it, industries leave, investment disappears, and ordinary people suffer most.

The world’s political class may talk about wind and solar. But when the pressure rises, even the largest economies return to the fuels that keep the lights on.

And that reality matters far more than slogans.
