1932 Alvis Speed 20 SA Vanden Plas Tourer
A fine and carefully maintained example of this elegant and desirable Alvis
Making its debut late in 1931, the Alvis Speed 20 was powered by a 2.5 litre engine which was a development of the 20hp Silver Eagle unit, however, in all other respects the Speed 20 was an entirely new model designed to compete in the burgeoning market for fast and comfortable touring cars capable of long distance motoring, particularly on the Continent.

The Speed 20 was available with a variety of coachwork styles, all of which were particularly attractive, especially the 4 seat open tourer by Vanden Plas.

As with previous Alvis models, the Speed 20 appealed to a discerning clientele and its smart and sporting appearance ensured popularity amongst enthusiastic society motorists.
