US President Donald Trump mocks Joe Biden in hilarious tweet

US President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to mock his opponent Joe Biden in a post published on Thursday.

In the animated clip, a figure reminiscent of Joe Biden is propelling himself along a railroad, while some of the presumptive Democratic nominee's most bizarre quotations can be heard in the footage.

The 'Trump Train' can also be seen zooming past in the clip with the phrase 'KAG 2020' written on the carriages.

The phrase stands for 'Keep America Great' and is being utilised by the President in the push to the upcoming November election.

The clip has been retweeted almost 65,000 times.

The US Studies Centre’s James Brown discussed Mr Biden's chances at the upcoming presidential election and his recent selection of Senator Kamala Harris to be his running mate.

He said the appointment of Ms Harris was "a safe choice for Biden".

"She was the expected favourite, she also minimises the risk for him".
