Ok short explanation::::
(Yassen and john work as assassins for an organization called scorpia)
And when I see you--yassen looking at john right after john saves his life
I really see you upside down----he like idolizes john and would do anythign for him
But my brain knows better---him snooping on john
It picks you up and turns you around----he finds out that john is a british spy :O
Turns you around---john leaving 5ever (not really)
turns you around---yassen is super mad,, he feels totally betrayed (i ship it),, decides that hes not gonna take johns advice to not become a hardcore assassin
If you feel discouraged---yassen goes back to the dude he used to work for, sharkovsky, loads a revolver with five bullets (leaving one blank)(when yassen arrived at sharkovsky's house, sharkovsky made him play traditional russian roulette)
That there's a lack of color here--he aims the gun at himself, pulls the trigger, and gets the blank!! he decides that if he is meant to live hes gonna go hardcore
(he kills sharkovsky and becomes an assassin)
(assassinates people for the next 14 or so years)

OK HARDCORE EXPLANATION!!!!!!!!
Backstory: Yasha Gregorovich is sucked into a world of crime when his entire town is wiped out by an escaped lab virus, yet he is spared because his parents stole an antidote (ok it sounds dumb so far,, don't judge mr. horowitz,,),,, blah blah blah,,,, he starts to steal to live, and one day he breaks into a super creepo dude's house and the guy beats him up but then is like "lol ill let u live if you play russian roulette" and yasha's like "??????." So he doesnt and survives it yay now hes creepo dude's food tester. ANYWAY fast forward like 4-5 years he's 18-19 or w/ever a DUDE comes to ASSASSINATE MR. CREEPO! and yasha picks up a gun and like forces the assassin to take him w/ him !! good job yasha!!! actually btw his name is yassen now b/cause he said his name so quietly to mr creepo when they first met that mr creepo thought he said yassen which means "ash tree" ANYWAY I DIGRESS
the assassin dude is part of SCORPIA; a super crappy (as in evil not as in poorly run) organization,, long story short, they take yassen in,, train him to be a killer,,,, send him out to kill,,, he cannot my poor child,,,,,
SO THEY CALL IN JOHN RIDER,,
ok so yassen and john are like bffs right away,,,, you feel me????,,
they go to the amazon to kill a dude,, and a black widow crawls onto yassens neck,, they have one bullet,,, the spider will bite b/cuz gunshot,,,
BUT JOHN SHOOTS SPIDER AND DUDE AT SAME TIME AND SAVES YASSEN AND THATS why yassen has that straight scar on the side of his neck,,
anyway, so john is like "yassen u a good kid get outta here u aint a killer" and yassens like "k"
so later they go to an airport and johns like "hey im gonna go get coffee" and yassens like "k"
but then yassen is a nosy nancy and sees johns bag open and peeks inside and sees a spoopy battery that they had learned long ago in the book (good foreshadowing mr. horowitz) was a spy gadget for MI6 then yassen GETS REALLY MAD NO MY CHILD and hes like "HE WAS JUST TRYING TO GET ME TO QUIT SCORPIA FOR HIS JOB HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT ME HE WAS USING ME" and im like "NO YASHA ;A;" and blah blah john leaves and yassens like "my life sucks everyone i care about is dead and john,, the dude id do anything for,, bETRAYED ME"
so he goes back to mr creepos house (btw he survived the assassination attempt), loads a revolvers w five bullets and fires the bullet at himself but miraculously survives (acually not miraculous he had a 16.66666% chance but w/ever and creepo dude is like "you're mad!" and yassens like "I am what you made me." and shoots him and kills him then creepos son who tormented yassen while he was at the house comes in and yassens like "bang bang bang!" and so begins his life as an assassin sigh :/
ok then at the end when he bleedin its from "Eagle Strike" 4th book of alex rider series and he dyin he was shot and alex is there and yassens like "find scorpia find ur destiny" and i totally think he was bullshitting that but anyway yeah
