Banned Elite 27 oz Heavy Break Cue Review

Phenolic or Leather tip? Heavy or Light break cue? I again tackle these questions by collecting data, this time using Elite brand cues.

I already owned the Elite ELBKRS break cue, but have been forever tempted by the Elite Heavy 27 oz banned break cue. With both in hand, a fresh Samsara hard leather break tip, the Break RAK with radar, and a power drill, I was able to test each tip type at four weight categories in rapid succession.

Maybe surprising to you (but not me), the leather tip destroyed the phenolic tip and the heavy cue smashed the super light cue. The heavy/leather combo even gave my BK Rush a run for its money.
