Dane Swan and Heath Shaw pay tribute to Neal Daniher one of the great people to grace our planet ahead of King's Birthday clash at the MCG.

Neale Daniher AO was named the 2025 Australian of the Year in recognition of his tireless advocacy, courage, and fundraising efforts in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

AFL great and former coach, Daniher was diagnosed with MND in 2013 and co-founded the charity FightMND in 2014. Through initiatives like the annual "Big Freeze" at the MCG, he and his supporters have raised over 115 million dollars.

Daniher passed away in this year at the age of 65, following an extraordinary 13-year battle with MND where he vastly outlived the condition's average life expectancy. His enduring legacy of hope, resilience, and community mobilization continues through FightMND's ongoing mission.
