EXPLORE: Morocco

The EXPLORE Department is all about showing how to travel without using the aid of websites and companies to keep costs down. This is all about enjoying being a tourist but doing it in a way that makes you feel like a local.

To do this I will give you examples of trips I have been on. For this episode we travel to Morocco. Morocco is unlike any country I have been, with influences from the French, Spanish and Arabic, the country is alive with colours, spices, different foods, smiles and intricate detailing.
For 3 friends and I it turned out to be quite the adventure, we originally only planned 2 days of this trip and what follows is an amazing experience of finding people's 90 year old Grandparents, children giving us private escorts through the streets, weird police encounters and much more.
